Well, we found that all of this week’s sessions were especially upbeat, and can only assume it was a result of everybody still being on a high from the kobudo seminar last weekend! Once again great to see so many of you there, the only downside being that nearly all of you have already started asking what are we going to be organising next….. and when?
Well not to disappoint, we have had a think about this and would very much like to organise another seminar towards the end of May, as this month is already going to be very busy with our Holistic Martial Art taster class.
We have had a couple of ideas, which have mainly come about as a result of your positive reactions this week. We’re thinking of maybe a Bokken kumite or kobudo kumite seminar, all of which will involve more wooden weapons! but this will of course involve sparring with partners, that’s enough details for the moment, but just let Sensei Tim and Richard know your preferences.
The Holistic Martial Art class (21st and 22nd of April) will be just that, a class. So for those of you that have been part of the demo team in the past and would like to be involved then please let us know over the next few weeks, but because it will be a new type of class then feel free to just come along and; “have a go”, without needing to practice for any type of demo. We’re hoping that this will be of particular interest to all you Cheltenham Sword and Aikido people.
A reminder to you all, that the next national BAMA gradings are now only 10 weeks away. Fortunately we managed to get loads of work done this week with all the people studying for Bushido Karate and Aikido-Te grades which is great, as just about all of you will be going in June, even the new students who have only started training recently should be there along side them. So be warned part one gradings will be in the first and second week of May.
Stay tuned too for our NEW ‘Wisewarrior Training‘ web site coming out very soon, it will have a very different feel about it, and we hope it will reflect the wonderful non traditional feel in our many classes. The site will be a place where all our students can go for information, articles, news, profiles and all types of things that interest our clients and instructors!
Finally don’t forget there is NO session this Monday (9th April). Because of the Bank Holiday and our venue is unavailable. So if you are able to make it, then try and get to either a Tuesday or Wednesday night session, that includes all you ‘Combat Club’ guys!
Wishing you all a great Bank holiday weekend!

A brilliant day, especially for those who have never picked up a weapon before – you would never believe it from looking at you.
