Our new website “plan” has changed a little, and as a result everything is taking a little longer than we had hoped. However the new ideas and input from you will make for a much better site. We’re still hoping to get it all up and running in the ‘very’ near future. In the meantime a long over due and well anticipated blog update.

First there is training as usual this bank holiday Monday, so we look forward to seeing you if you can make it.

During the week we had some great sessions, Mondays combat classes are working through some great new routines written by Tim San, which really improves their skill sets and burn the calories!! Tuesday night’s ‘reflective aikido’ class this week was taken by Richard San. It was an intense lesson on movement and deflection, by the end of the lesson even our new Tuesday night students were in the centre of the group deflecting all the attacks and showing some great technique!

The main news from Wednesday was of course the preparation for the part one internal gradings. No one’s done a grading as yet, but we will start the grading process next week and will be running gradings over the next couple of weeks ready for the national BAMA gradings in June.

This potentially also ties into one of our upcoming events. We’re still aiming to run a seminar on the 26th May. Originally we were intending on running some sort of weapon kumite seminar based on the great success of the last seminar and your overwhelming reactions to it. But as the workshop is so close to the national gradings we might in fact run an ‘art of kata’ session! So we look forward to your thoughts on which one you would prefer. Either way this will still be run by Sensie Richard Trafford and Sensei Tim Dickerson, and will still be FREE for all wisewarrior students.

Hopefully our next update will be on our new site!

See you in the dojo!
