A great session on Wednesday, and especially good to see the welcome return of an old face. After a break of about a year Dohigh Kevin came back into the Dojo looking very keen and hoping to find his edge again soon! Also nice to see that he seems determined to catch up with the likes of Sempai Dave and Sempai James. A lot of hard work done by everybody, and those preparing for the next gradings looked great.
Just to let you all know that the idea to film some videos of you all in action has been very well received and that we are now looking into ideas for content, and also into the where and when of it all. Please keep your ideas coming, but note that our budget for this project won’t cover explosions, wirework or a fight scene on a beach in Thailand!!
Other than that you can be as inventive with your ideas as you like. Some of you watched Suckerpunch at the cinema when we ran one of our promotions there. This is now out on video and has some inspiring fights.
We now have a Facebook page, as well as the Facebook location, and will look to make it more active over the next few months.
Finally at some stage towards the end of September/beginning of October, we will be running another workshop. This will be of particular interest to any who attended the demo at the Cheltenham Pilates and Yoga Centre back on the 18th of June. The first workshop will be on sword, but may well incorporate some elements of Aikido movement and flow. This will be an open work shop, (maybe a chance to bring along a family member or friend?!) so anybody can attend. Because of this places for you all will be limited, however they will be free to students! We will give you more details here soon.
