Nerve strikes was I think the highlight of this Monday session at Wisewarrior! Nick San did a great job of teaching a great selection painful neck scrunching movements, with Tim San adding his favourite techniques to add even more horrendous ways to inflict pain on each of the higher grades, but judging by the smiles on their faces and especially that of Graeame San, much fun was had by all!
The other half of the class was defiantly more relaxed with the Aikido syllabus being covered in depth with Richard San.
Our Sword and Aikido demonstration on the 3rd of December was being worked heavily upon on Tuesday night, with the keen volunteers of Dohigh Tam and Kohigh Chris, we are planning to cover pure aikido, a bokken display plus some solo live sword, so should be great fun to watch and to take part in, thanks again to all who are helping out.
Wednesday was as usual full on with everybody working towards their grading in just over a weeks time, and all looking spot on! Towards the end of the night everybody was standing up in front of the class performing at top levels, really showing enthusiasm and power, a real credit to their practice and the teaching of all the sen’s, even yellow and orange belts were unphased by this event and looked great, extra mention must go to Kohigh Jon and Dohigh Nick who have really come on over the past few weeks!
Looking forward to seeing many of you at the Nunchuka session this Saturday at the YMCA, we are starting at 2pm, its looking as usual like a great event, even some new tricks for you more experienced weapons guys!
And of course if you have any friends interested then just bring them along.
Lastly we need numbers by next Wednesday for the Sausage and chips Christmas do at the Royal Union pub in Tivoli on the 21st of December, we are there straight after training so you should all be hungry, but we need numbers for the landlord, so ASAP with those please!
See you all next week!
