Well a new year and so great to see lots of new faces all enjoying our classes. The very successful Monday combat class has managed to build itself up a good following thanks to the hard work of Dave and James San, a good core of regulars after only running for three weeks! Remember only one month left of those free classes, so if you know of anybody who may be tempted, then give them a push! We also have new faces on our Tuesday night Sword and Aikido session, plus another old student who has come back to lessons after being away for a couple of years, always glad to welcome old faces back!
We now have the 2012 national grading dates for all of you hoping to grade this year, they are as follows the 4th March, the 10th June, the 2nd of September and the 2nd of December.
So the first date is only four weeks away, so some serious work is needed for some of you to get the part one gradings done before the March date, so Christmas is now officially over!!! Also although December sounds like a long way away, there are however at least three black belts due to take their 1st Dan grades, 2 brown belts hoping for blackbelt and maybe a couple of blue belts who might be in with a chance! So Believe me, December will come around quicker than you think!!!
The upcoming workshop is looking like being Tonfa/Jo. There will be one more week of voting, then we will let you know the results after Monday 13th. Once we know what you’ve chosen we will arrange a suitable venue and let you know the date. We’re aiming for some time towards the end of March. This will once again be FREE for all our existing students, so that’s a lot of dates for all your diaries!
In the mean time, we’re all looking forward to seeing you all for next week’s training, especially all of you who are hoping to be at the gradings in four weeks time!
