This Wednesday Tim san decided to exact his revenge upon a hapless Dohigh, as earlier on in the week Dohigh Chris accidently waved his Jo about in Tim San’s face while trying to juggle his weapon and kit bag while attempting a bow in the changing area!! Sooo, an impromptu grading for him!!! (never a good idea to get on the wrong side of Tim San!) To his credit, Dohigh Chris worked really hard and pulled off a very respectable first part weapons grading with a cool combat sequence and display of powered strike targeting…congratulations!!
Unfortunately for Kohigh Matthew, Tim San’s cool gaze now turned upon him, for Kohigh Matthew was supposed to be grading next week when Richard San returned from his Birthday break, but now all that changed as Tim San brought his grading forward a week!! But Kohigh Matthew stepped up to the plate and performed his 3 Aikido-Te katas flawlessly against two opponents so congratulations to him also!!
The teaching team catered for just about everyone this week with Kohigh Heidi getting a two hour 1-2-1 lesson from Mark San while Tor san worked the grading syllabus.
But some say the highlight of the week had already happened on the Monday night session, and was the attempt to capture an extremely rare occurrence on camera, that of Tim San smiling!!! Never before has this been done, but unperturbed Richard San doggedly continued in his mission to capture this Unicorn of an event if you will for the upcoming website revamp. Finally, after much badgering and procrastination, the pillar of discipline and technique that is Tim San folded…
