Lots of excellent work this week in the Wisewarrior Cheltenham Dojo as students worked hard on their individual pieces for this coming Wednesday; ‘Grading and Performance Night’. Judging by what we saw this Wednesday there should be some pretty spectacular demonstrations of martial performance and technical skills!
This upcoming Performance night is a really great session in the dojo for us as instructors and, if our last event was anything to go by, this one will NOT disappoint! Apart from getting the chance to perform the students also get to see the instructing team in action too!
Events like this give our students (and instructors) that special goal to aim for, an objective that makes them bring their all to the area.Even if they are not grading in the near future performing in front of ones peers is a nerve wracking experience but more often than not this extra pressure brings out the very best in people as they rise to the occasion.
Next Wednesday hits two birds for our students; in most cases students take their first part gradings and gives those who are not grading valuable experience in preparation for performing, keeping their skills sharp for future National Gradings. The main event this year is a Black belt first part and 1st Dan’s for the dojo!
