A new strengthening of dojo etiquette this week regarding the formality of the start and end of lessons, and the understanding of the grades in the dojo.
This is already improving your performances with greater concentration and improved physical presence. This stronger etiquette manifests itself in both movement and combat bearing, which we will all need to take with us into combat scenarios or into life challenges, and not just to the gradings.
Remember a bow is to the grade not the person, when you wear the heavy belts of Brown or Black then you will have to carry the responsibility of that rank and earn the respect of the bow given to you, then you have no choice but to be great! Well done to all of you for embracing this old and magical dojo etiquette, remember this is what elevates our art above violence and thuggery.
Gradings now are just around the corner and we are hoping to have the preliminary 1st part gradings completed next week. We are only putting the weapons students forward to the March 4th gradings and maybe a couple of Kohigh’s, as the rest of the dojo students are busy with some really important grades that will take a little more time!
We have a date for our popular workshops booked! This will be on the 31st of March, so put that date in your diary! Its looking like a Tonfa experience according to your votes, although Richard San is still demanding a recount! So he can run his sword and calligraphy workshop, so stay tuned! But the date is certain, and so is the amazing ‘free to all wisewarrior students’ deal! If you have any friends interested then it will be £25 for them to experience the great in-depth tuition we have to offer.
And just a quick note regarding our new links page on our web site. So far we have only one link which makes the page look somewhat sparse, so to all those who said they’d like a mention on the page for their websites, blog pages or even business face book pages, then please get your links in this week with a short biopic of yourself and your business/interest, plus picture or logo. Remember you will have to find a place on your sites for our www.wisewarrior.co.uk link back to us, otherwise we all miss out on the increased web traffic! Below is the link page address.

Practice what you were taught this week and we will see you all next week!
