Lots of excellent work covered this week…
On Monday night Sempai Kevin ran a great aikido group, and then did his first part black belt! He performed full partner applications for all the katas at a swift tempo, plus did knife and combat wazas, finishing off on a spontaneous aikido demo! Tired but very happy!
Mark San and Sempai Andrej polished their performances for 2nd Dan and black belt respectfully, plus they had a kick lesson from Richard San using a sword! That seem to help the flight paths!!
Tim San taught Dohigh Jose and Nick San the nunchaku flow waza, very impressive.
A demonstration of the partner applications of the1st Dan kata closed the evening off with style, all the black and brown belts pitching in for a great session.
Wednesday night had the Aikido hopefuls hitting the mats again while the rest of the class got to grips with the syllabus related freeform partner work. This weeks concepts were confrontation and deflection. See Tim Sans Blog.
Dohighs Jon and Chris succesfully passed a rather gruelling first part grading, bringing the evening to a close with their performances of katas and wazas.
