First off, a big thank you to Sensei Tim for running the fantastic Nunchuka workshop, all the details can be read in the previous blog, definitely fun was had by all those who turned up!
Before we start planning our next ‘Wisewarrior Event’ for sometime early in the new year we will be asking all of you for your choices, so stay tuned on the blog site for the list of possibilities, remember you don’t often get the chance to choose the lesson over the Sensei’s!

The gradings coming up on the 4th of December quite rightly took centre stage this week on our Monday and Wednesday night classes, it’s all becoming very exciting because of the great numbers we have going, and the grade breadth; from those going for Orange belt right up to Black belt, with weapons in between!
Good luck to all of you,  you have without doubt worked hard and put the hours in,  it was very refreshing to see everyone taking advantage of the extra free classes we now offer on the new dojo payment scheme we introduced in the Summer, your standard has shown that it was a great direction to take!
Look out for the grading update blog coming out next week, that will have all the news and some pictures for you to see. Before I finish on this subject it only remains for me to wish you all good luck and to give extra wishes to our Sempais Dave and James going for their black belts. Enjoy it guys, all of us Sen’s remember our grading day as if it were last week! Soak up the atmosphere and take pleasure in all your hard work and skill, it’s not just about martial arts it’s about celebrating that you are alive, skillful and in full health!!

I’m sure some of you noticed strange goings on in the far end of the dojo this Monday and Wednesday with Richard San taking some students through unknown Katas and drills, well these were our Aikido and Sword demo team, and they were preparing for this Saturdays event! Richard San has said everything is looking all very good, despite an already hectic week of grading lessons , sen even drafted in the extra body of Dohigh Wayne at the last moment! He was unperturbed by it all and started practicing and is already up to speed with the moves, so well done to him!
The event is at the Isbourne Centre, (www.isbourne.org) and we are on at 11 am, so if you are in Cheltenham then do pop in and lend your support to the great team of Hayley San, Dohigh Tam, Dohigh Kevin, Dohigh Wayne and Kohigh Chris!

We have the numbers for our ‘Chips and Sausages’ Xmas event at the Royal Union, so thanks to all those who are coming, it will be a relaxing and tasty way to finish of a fantastic 2011!

Our Twitter account: @_wisewarrior is now starting to pick up some momentum thanks to Tor San, so please if you have twitter then follow us, and if not then why not start?! As we will be starting to feed through extra information and offers!

Finally well done to all those who took the hint from Richard san and Tim San and turned up to the Tuesday night class, without going in to details here I’m sure you will agree it was an amazing night, we were lucky to have the visit and learn so much from this ‘guest’!

Good luck again to all who are grading, and remember you take our teaching and your skill with you into that room, it will be great!

Thanks for all the support from everyone for my upcoming black belt grading. I’m really looking forward to it and feel I’m ready. I must thank all of the sen’s for the training and help they have given me to get me to the standard I am and I hope I can make Wise Warrior proud.

What a great article. I think we should all become journalists. Godd luck to all on Sunday with the gradings, and also to the demo team for tomorrow.
