Well Tuesday nights class started with a question from Hayley San; “how do you write a sword display?” So while Tim San took the rest of our Aikido class Richard San tried to answer her question, and a nice little bokken display was created, which we hope you all will enjoy having a quick look at. We might be working on this further and adding it to our Aikido and Sword display in December. Thank you again to all those who have volunteered to help on that day (3rd of December) and we look forward to getting you along on a Tuesday night to practice the themes and movements of our display, it is set to be very exciting!

Unusually it was a little less frantic on this Wednesday session because of the great turnout for our ‘Kimi’ (focus), session that Tim San ran on Monday night. For those who couldn’t be there check out the last blog to get a flavour of the event.
Thank you for all the comments of those who attended and enjoyed it, and yes we will be running something similar again in the near future!
So the quieter Wednesday night was a great opportunity for everyone to get some much-appreciated personal tuition from the sen’s.
Tor san wrote a Nunchaku flow pattern for Dohigh Nick, so we can see he is already gettingÿ in the mood for the Nunchaku workshop on the 26th of this month! John San helped out the aikido students while Richard San and Tim San worked through the whole class and finished up with giving our two black belt first parts some one to one time for their fast approaching big day! Meanwhile, Tor San took charge of the Combat session in the other half of the room.

As you all know Christmas fast approaches on the heels of the gradings, so like all good warriors we meet it head on! We are hoping to organize a Sausage and Chips night in the local pub at the end of the Wednesday night session on the 21st of December. It will be a really relaxed gathering; Robin the landlord has promised to put on a good spread for only a fiver a head!
So please…we numbers ASAP! If you want to pop along for a few hours after the session and partake of some calories with the higher grades, then please just let us know!

To all those who are grading soon, remember the great lessons from Monday night and stay focused, the rest will take care of it self!

I have found both Monday nights kimi session and the one on one time on Wednesday really useful with the 4th December fast approaching. Sausage and chip night sounds like a good way to finish up a good session at the end of a good year. Sound like me and sempai Dave are going to need to put in extra gym time around Christmas.

Sausage and chips? Sold! I think we’ll all need to be at the gym with Sempai after Christmas.

Are there any plans for an one of the infomus fat-burning sessions?

Might have to give the fat burning session a miss, but the fat gaining session (sausage and chips) sounds good!
