Great news from the National Gradings for all the students sent there by Sensei Tim and Sensei Richard.
We have 2 new Black belt instructors! So congratulations to James San who obtained his black belt in Bushido Karate and Dave San who obtained his black belt in Bushido Aikido-Te on Sunday!
It was a great day, and the black belts were put under a lot of pressure, but they dug deep and did very well. The high level of fitness told with our two new high grades and that kept them sharp through all the tests and the nerves!
But the day was not just about our 2 new black belts, the wisewarrior training dojo sent along 13 students in total for BAMA grades! A great turnout and a tribute to the high level of motivation you have all shown in the dojo over the past few months!
So here are the results for all you who weren’t there!
Congratulations to; our new Karate Brown belts of Patrick and Andrej, and in Brown belt Aikido of Ben and Kash. Dohigh Lucy passed for Blue in Aikido, Dohighs Kevin and Will passed advanced weapons, Dohigh Nick passed the first weapon grade, Dohighs Chris and Jon passed for Green in Aikido and finally but by no means least Kohigh Ke-Shen passed for Orange in Karate.
Both sensei Richard and Tim were very proud of the turn out and performance of their students on the day, you all looked confident with the syllabus and passionate in your performance.
Well done again to all of you, and one special mention must go to Sempai Patrick who, after being told he wasn’t ready to grade, went away and trained solidly for the entire week and came back to prove he was ready with his focus, energy and power, a lesson to us all in the spirit of a wise warrior!

I have to agree that Sempai Patrick really deserved his new belt. He put in a huge amount of effort and dedication leading up to grading day and there was a real change in his attitude!
Also, I am really pleased for Sempai Kash, who I started my training with all those years ago. I am really looking forward to his pure Aikido warm ups he has promised us.
Congratulations to everyone who went, it was a great day!
The important point to note I feel is that James San was so dedicated to the big day, he didn’t have any snacks all day!

Congratulations to all, Especially Dave San and James San. It was a long and hard day (especially for the black belts).

Every now and again I managed a sneaky peak over at the grading area and was never disappointed with what I saw, everyone gave it their all.
Passion was the theme of the day and passion was shown not only at the main event but in all the hours of training and preparatation put in before hand.
Congratulations all!

Congratulations everyone. Sempai Patrick did really well on the day and with all the work he did the week before.
Dohigh Kevin got extra praise even after not grading for months.
Really looking forward to showing off my new black belt. Dave San I made up my snacks when I got home so I didn’t completely miss out!
